* The Wimpy Script is the file or application that feeds Wimpy a playlist. If your podcast feed is running on another server, you must use the "Podcast Proxy" script. After configuring the Podcast Proxy and uploading it to your server, use the URL to the podcast_proxt.php/asp script on your server for "Wimpy Script." NOTE: If your podcast feed is not an XML file you must set the "Force XML playlist " option in the "Advanced Options" section.

** Feature does not work when running Wimpy off of an XML playlist, Embedded playlist or your own back-end playlist generator.

1 When testing XML files with FireFox, FireFox may display the following message at the top of the page "... the XML does not have any style information associated with it" -- this notice is simply stating that there is no style sheet associated with the XML document, and does not mean that the XML is invalid. You will notice that the document tree is visible and collapsible, invalid XML will not display the document tree properly.

2 Requires the getid3 files to be uploaded to your Wimpy folder.

3 Features marked with ** will not work when using this option.

4 In order to use the Encrypt HTML feature, you must upload wimpyWrite.js to the same folder that your Wimpy Script is located in (i.e. your Wimpy Installation folder). You can download a wimpyWrite.js file by clicking here.

5 After establishing a "Startup Folder" it is best to run Wimpy off of your configs file. To run Wimpy "off of" a wimpyConfigs.xml file, first upload the wimypConfigs.xml file to the same folder as wimpy.php/asp/cfm, then access wimpy.php/asp/cfm directly with your web browser. Then once the page is loaded, do a "view source" -- you can use the resulting HTML code anywhere on your site just like a "myWimpy.html" page generated by the Customizer tool. Otherwise, if your decide to use the Customizer tool again to generate a new "myWimpy.html" page (after you have already placed the wimpyConfigs.xml file with the "Startup Folder" option enabled), you must check "Prevent local caching" for your new "myWimpy.html" page.
