3. Enter file locations (URLs)

Enter the URL to wimpy_button.swf that you uploaded to your server during the installation process into the first field.

Enter the URL to an MP3 file on your server.

NOTE: Clicking the "TEST" button next to each field ensures that the URLs you've entered are valid. When clicking the "TEST" button, a new browser window should open and the file should load. The TEST is only looking to see that the browser doesn't display an error message similar to:

4. Set Options

Adjust the remainder of the options according to your needs.

As you adjust the size and coloring options, the preview button will change to reflect your settings.

5. Save As...

After adjusting the settings to your needs, click the "Save As..." button. Doing so will prompt you to save an HTML file to a location on your PC.

WBM will actually save two files:

1. An HTML file that contains all the code necessary to include the button within a web page.

2. A JavaScript file that is intended for advanced users who which to use JavaScript to render the button. (See the "Insert" section of this documentation for more information on using the Javascript option.)

5. Test

You can test the output locally by double clicking on the HTML file that WBM created. Doing so should open the file in your web browser.

However, some computers may have certain security options enabled which may prevent the button from loading up when the HTML file is run locally.

If the HTML page does not display the buttons properly when testing locally on your PC, you'll have to test the HTML file on your website:

Upload the resulting files to the same place that the Wimpy Button SWF file is located on your web server.

Example:

If the Wimpy Button SWF file is located here:

http://www.yoursite.com/wimpy/wimpy_button.swf

... then upload the files to the same folder as:

http://www.yoursite.com/wimpy/wimpy_button.js
http://www.yoursite.com/wimpy/wimpybutton174.html

NOTE: If you plan on using the JavaScript code to render the button, the Javascript file (wimpy_button.js) that WBM created must be located in the same folder as the Wimpy Button SWF file (wimpy_button.swf).

Launch a web browser and navigate to the HTML file that you just uploaded to your Wimpy Button Installation folder on your website.

Example:

http://www.yoursite.com/wimpy/wimpybutton174.html
