Downloading to Real Player

Download Manager programs, such as Real Player, are preventing files from playing through Wimpy.

Unfortunately, there is no way to control computers who have intentionally installed third-party software (such as Real Player) to handle specific kinds of files transferred to their local machines.

As for MySpace, they have a closed system and dedicated server technicians, which allow them to have quite a bit more control over each server and how the server responds to certain kinds of requests.

Due to the vast number of ways in which a server can be configured, Wimpy is limited to providing specific kinds of functionality that can only be established using generic and common practices.
