Does my server need anything special?

Wimpy will run on any basic Web server -- no special server-side stuff required. Wimpy does not require your web server to have special (and expensive) streaming software installed on your server.

Wimpy MP3 Player and Wimpy AV

To take advantage of the automatic directory listing feature of Wimpy MP3 Player and Wimpy AV, you should verify that your server has PHP, ASP or ColdFusion pre-installed. Most web servers have one of these "server-side scripting" environments pre-installed. PHP is most common. Click here for more information.

If your server doesn't have PHP, ASP or ColdFusion:
You can still use Wimpy MP3 Player and Wimpy AV if your server does not support PHP, ASP or ColdFusion.
