wimpyConfigs

(SWF)

wimpyConfigs -- a URL to an external XML configuration file.

Usage

wimpy.swf?wimpyConfigs=http://path/to//wimpyConfigs.xml

Description

Allows you to set the options for the player via an external XML file, rather than embedding the options within the HTML (or javascript) code. A configuration file (or "wimpyConfigs" file) is an XML file that contains both server-side and player options.

A configuration file can be created at wimpyplayer.com using the Customizer tool -- choose "Generate config file" at the end of the questionnaire.

NOTE: Some of the options defined in the wimpyConfigs.xml file are geared toward the player, while others are geared toward wimpy.php and some are used for both. It is best to keep a wimpyConfgis.xml file in the same folder as wimpy.php, then use another config.xml file to configure wimpy.swf. When using a wimpyConfigs file to control server-side behavior, the file must be named "wimpyConfigs.xml" and must reside in the same folder as wimpy.php/asp/cfm.
